This was an effort working in a team. Only 2 of us turned up the 1st week..We we all did get 2gether and brought a flim the camera was broken so we had to get another. We spent ages trying to get it on computer only to be told that we had to do it on diff comput.. So couldn't do it that day. Then girl with film was sick that week . The next week my son was sick so i wasnt at school, everyone in my group had done it cept me.But all finished now.
EDITING- This was sooo so interseting . I was inspired by what could be done . Especially as in art theary we had been discussing , Structualist film and Art of Noise . This would have been great to have gone into in more deppth.

This took me about 2 hours at home. I wanted to crop it but once i did that i couldn't muck around with it. I am excited that i got it to upload etc . Looks like crap but used free hand so at least it is up there. I wanted to take this & put it on the shore of a lake.

REMIX Boys on a beach

okay here is my first photo. At the colour of my hair it maybe my last.This was actually really fun to do and will try to do some more at home. I used the earaser, clone and paint brush for this image. I cut out the people in the background of the beach & cut the boys out of a kitchen photo. I then moved the boys onto the beach.

This is driving me nuts.My original you Tube down load is unavaliable.I have spent hours trying to download another.Evry time i click onto video and paste the screen fades and wont let me do it.I can download images but not videos.So i guess there goes my presntation for tomorrow.

*CASE STUDY ONE:

Assessment of similarity between George Harrison’s song “My Sweet Lord”, and The Chiffon’s “He’s So Fine”.
Rating System: 5=exactly the same, 4=very similar, 3=somewhat alike, 2=barely the same, 1=not alike in anyway.
MY RATING - Melody: 3, Harmony/Chordal Structure:4 Rhythm:2, Tempo: 2, Lyrics: 1, Instruments: 1.
Only after listening a few times do i find real connection in these two songs.i believe that there are enough differances within the two , not to find Harrison quilty of coprright infringement.I wonder how much cash made the pain all go away and why has it been allowed to be continued to play.If i was that wrongly ripped off i would be damed if i would let the offender continue playing the song!!!!!
The songs differ in tempo,emotion, epression and content.I also find it hard to even try and sing the songs the same.If it had not been for this case study i would never have realised that there was any similarity.

*CASE STUDY TWO:
It is clear that the director of 12 Monkey's , Terry Gillian , has in fact used the vision created by Lebbus Woods and reproduced it in this movie. Woods drew this chair It is extermerly clear that Gillian knew that this was baltant copying of the design of the interigation room as he had reviewed the catalogue that the chair, Neo-mechanical Chamber, was published in and also had disscussions about this with his producer and production designer.
It is amazing though how a six figure sum paid by Universal Studios to Wood can make the injustice go away and heal the unlawfullness of it all. Never hearing of this movie or Artist i think they have both benifited from the publicity.

*CASE STUDY THREE:
Why would i bother to buy a copy of this in cd formatt when i can download it for free???????
Yes he is producing some illegal work but it has been taken out of context and its usual situation.Therefore it should be allowed to be fairly used. Don't we all in some why copy from others especially as artists.We are required to research constantly and therefore we are exposed vast quantities of ideas and thoughts.I believe that "present specific exceptions in the Act should be amended to make certain uses of copyright material lawful." I think that Fiar copyright could pose a real can of worms.

Blue Oyster Gallery

this is an interesting wee gallery.Like a smalll rabbit warren i wasn't sure were to go.I think it is an amazing setting for a gallery and has quite an ambience about it.
The exhibitions i found very interesting if some what over powering in the noise department.

AROHA NOVAK
This was rather forcefull and in your face.No escaping the reality and total devastation of bombings and war.On a very basic level makes the viewer thankfull they live in good old new zealand and for most of us will never be affected first hand by such horrendous events. The noise , lighting and whole atmosphere of this work dominated the upper gallery.In some instances making it difficult to focus on the next artist.Collaberatively these two artists made a very thought provoking exhibition in the upper gallery.There is a lot more depth to this work but i don't feel literate enough to write without feeling that i would be copying the artist statement.

DARKSIDE
The level of noise in this is too loud for me.I felt that my senses were overloaded, at one stage i had to make myself stay and ilisten to all three ear phones which i am pleased i did.
I sympathised with the Iraqi woman and felt a range of emotions for her ,anger,saddness,injustice.The American women pissed me off.Did she not know that out in the real world there are real issues.I stopped myself and put myself in her reality and then felt compassion for her.For surely how we personally percieve a feeling is our own right.If we cannot own our own feelings and thoughts then are we not being dictated too , are we not valid in our own right and who should cast the first stone??? Is it the American's fault she has not experienced such a horriffic event. If the two extremes were not put side by side would it make such an impression?????

window comparison

Looking at Window scene was interesting and some amazing artists.I was frustrated as some music downloads eg:"Te Tuhi" were spasmodic in downloading.It would take ages then only a little music would play then it would freeze.Mind you it may be have been the computers in the suite next to drawing. They were having trouble with them.So all that aside i selected the following.

I choose this as i found the pages easy to navigate and to read.It was bright in colour and atrracted my attention. I also tried to find a site that i would not normally visit.Trying to broaden my horizions, so to speak.
While some of the subject matter was not familiar to me it was written easily enough that i could get some understanding of it.The Base of this site is Art with Machines. For example Music with Lap tops, Gps and other electrical machines.
I liked the links added to the site. One site i did link to was Russan though!!

What i think of Computers

Computers are meant to make my life easier,sometimes i think this is a load of hooey.I type with 2 fingers, spell every thing wrong and delete when i want to enter!!!!!
Actually it is the way i use the computer.Armed and dangerous with a little knowlegde can make things rather difficult.I am amazed at how much can be accomplished and achieved through the computer .I cannot wait to get up to speed and on a level with my boys.So cross fingers and i am away laughing :-)
